At Our Lady of Grace Church, we extend our heartfelt condolences to those mourning the loss of a loved one. We understand that this is a time of deep sorrow, confusion, and overwhelming emotions. Our mission is to offer you comfort, guidance, and hope during this difficult period.
As Catholics, we believe that at death, “life is changed, not ended.” Death is a transition to a new and eternal life with God. Though grief and loss are natural emotions, our faith provides strength and solace. As a faith community, we stand together in support, offering consolation and reaffirming the hope in the gift of eternal life. In times of loss, we are called to prayer—to pray for the souls of those who have passed and for their grieving loved ones.
Our funeral liturgies emphasize life and the promise of the Resurrection of the Dead. The scripture readings, hymns, and prayers are chosen to inspire expectant joy and peace. For baptized Catholics, it is customary to hold a Mass of Christian burial, though certain circumstances may call for a funeral service outside of the Mass.
